You get an increase in maximum black. If you tone for longer durations all densities increase. After toning in sulphur, it generates a reddish tone. Lith prints tone in a cooler magenta to blue.

Moersch MT10 gold toner affects all densities uniformly. MT9 tones faster in the highlights, but needs more time than MT10 to fully tone the shadows
