Safety Data Sheet

CineStill CS41 Color Simplified is a 2-bath chemistry kit (Liquid) that lets you develop any colour negative (C-41) film at home. If you already know how to develop black and white films, using this kit is just as easy and requires the exact same equipment.

Key Highlights

• Simple: Just 2 main steps (Developer and Bleach/Fix) instead of the complicated multi-step setups used in commercial labs.
• No Special Gear Needed: No automated processors or darkrooms required. You just need a standard development tank, a thermometer, and water.
• Reusable & Economical: One 1-litre kit can process up to 24 rolls of film and has a long shelf life.
• No Formaldehyde: Modern film emulsions don't need harsh, hazardous stabilizers. This kit works with your film's built-in stabilizers for safe, archival results.

How It Works (The Basics)

• Mix: Mix the liquid concentrates with water to create 1 litre of Developer and 1 litre of Bleach/Fix.
• Develop: Pour in the Developer (temperature is flexible, but instructions are included for exact timing).
• Bleach & Fix: Pour in the Bleach/Fix solution to clear the film and lock in the image.
• Final Rinse: Use the included liquid "Stabilizer" final rinse, wash with water, and hang to dry.

Good to Know

• Push/Pull Processing: You can easily adjust your film's contrast and exposure by altering development times/temperatures (instructions are included in the box).
• Ready to Scan: Once dry, your negatives are fully archival and completely ready for scanning or printing.
